oh dude, you’re gorgeous! I wish I had the magic words to tell you that there is nothing to worry about and I would love to take you out anytime. Call me
i don’t bother with group stuff. Since I have a problem, I don’t put myself into it. Proud loner! “What solitude!…” – Dr Frasier Crane
I am doing well. In fact, this 2-week trip to England and Italy has been amazing (anxiety hasn’t really been a problem at all!). I’ll talk more about that once I get chance to make another video.
It is good to hear that we’re not alone. I can’t imagine what it must have been like when social anxiety wasn’t in the DSM and no one knew anything about it.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for all your videos Tim….I enjoy all of them and can totally relate to what you are going thru. Heres hoping that you are doing well. I also have SAD and its good to hear that we are not alone in this and that there is hope that someday we can all live a normal life without fear.
That international group was pretty wild. Karaoke bars seemed to be their favourite place to go.
It is great being around other SA people and the exercises do help a lot as long as we have the cognitive therapy down.
I have the thing with not being able to sing happy birthday too, I just sorta move my mouth to the words and hope everyone else sings loudly.
I get that too. When the weather is warm and everyone has their windows down it’s hard for me to relax with mine down.
I’m 24 and I had to have my Mom go with me to open my checking account last week. And a few months ago she went with me to buy a new phone and start my own calling plan. Can’t wait to see that new guitar video.
Thanks! I forgot to mention it in the video, but I’ve also been listening to music with the window down, after I saw the comment you wrote on one of your videos. I never thought about that being anxiety causing for me, but then it was, so it was kind of an interesting discovery.
sup tim , wow the therapy looks really good, and I can see taht you are a lot more confident, amazing yoouu goo my man you goo were all with you and keep up the good work
It not always fun. A lot of the things we do can be quite challenging (especially simon says and acting like an animal). I have a lot of trouble letting go and being silly, but maybe it’s not as bad as I think.
It certainly is helping a lot, though. I doubt I’d be driving or even have my license without having the therapy.
Alright, Timbo! You’ve got the positivity down. Group therapy sounds like fun. I bet it’ll keep helping you a lot.
Thats ok you are still doing pretty good try not too beat yourself up over that. You should be proud of yourself. I wish I could just go and sit down in a food court more less eat anything. Last time I try to eat at the mall I end up throwing all my food away just could not do it. Will be looking forward to your next video
No problemo. Things have been going pretty well. Although, I didn’t mention in my video that everyone had lunch at the mall except me. I couldn’t get myself to get the food. Oh well, no point in beating myself up.
That group therapy sounds pretty wild. Yelling up at someone in a mall and again, dropping your food tray would take alot of effort for me. I also have trouble singing happy birthday to anyone, and even when I’m at home when it’s my own, I always get anxious when my family sings it to me. I wish there was some kind of group therapy around where I live, but I probably wouldn’t be able to afford it. Sounds like the exercises would help alot, and being with other SA people makes it even better.
Thanks for letting us know how things have been going with you. Sounds like things have been going pretty good.
