@Christopher711 Quoted from iggerdanus “We walk thru the illusions, we retort the negative self talk; and we GROW UP! I can and YOU can too!”. Maybe by omitting the word UP i wouldn’t view the comment this way, but i have been called childish and selfish at times in my life because i have had to leave a difficult SA situation due to triggers and not behaviours of my personality alone. You are absolutely right about it not being understood, it’s a real shame.
@christvswarhol Explanations such as “grow up” I think are simply because they really don’t understand what is going on with social anxiety. I have never heard SA referred to as childish. That is a new one on me.
Why is it that some people seem to think that this disorder is childish and all people have to do is grow up. What suddenly people don’t have insecurities anymore if they can go out for a drink or pay their bills on time? It makes me angry that people are so small minded.
@iggerdanus You make a good point about most fears being illusions. Most of my fears exist only because I am imagining things turning out bad and a lot of times when i fear som ething I later realize that things aren’t as I imagined them.
Christopher,
I’m not perfect, and I think you’re a cool guy.
Craig
I take B12 and 6 in a subligual form. You let the tablet dissolve under your tongue (from Trivita). I also have a multi vitamin mix that goes in juice (it’s called Emergen-C for heart health).
How do you take b vitamins? In pill form?
christoper i feel the same way … i have bad ache… and which is never quite clear and feel like in order to talk to women it has to be perfect haha and it never been clear all my life haha lets just say i dont get a lot dates.
i got medication for mine i was in a bad shape. there is no way i could of bared it like you
Thank you and You’re welcome.
Thanks for sharing, SA and SP are a struggle for many people. I noticed as I get older that my body chemistry can get out of balance more easily (I know that there is more involved than chemistry) however, I find that taking B vitamins helps me.
I agree people with SA think they have to be perfect, its a shame even though we know that no person is perfect we are still putting too much pressure on ourselves. Its helpful for other SA suffers to see progresses made so keep us posted on any progress or tips. Thanks
You make a good point. Sports does tend to have a divisive aspect to it. Even at the superbowl party I knew I could only be firends with half tehg people there. I also want to say thank you very much for responding to my video.
I generally dislike viewing sporting events in public places. Too much hostility from fans especially if their team lost. People’s moods usually make me insecure. We just have to learn to switch the “vibe” radar off.
